Default Virgin are getting competitive

So I called them, asking if they could be my current sky pakcage.

£33.50 a month (Soon to be £41) for this:

2 Mix - £7.50 for 12 months
Unlimited UK Phone Calls - £5
16Mbit broadband (actually about 10mbit) - £10
BT Line rental - £11

But I called virgin and they can give me

Basic TV Package, 10Mbit (SOON TO BE 20MBIT ) Broadband, unlimited UK Phone Calls and line rental for £43, which quite frankly is a FAR better deal (20Mbit, stable broadband - YES PLEASE!)

It looks that way on paper but in reality it isn't

I'm ditching the phone and TV package soon and just keeping the broadband, primarily because

A: Their basic package is cr@p, Basically freeview with living and UK Gold thrown in
B: Their telephone sevice is expensive if you ring mobiles a lot, Its cheaper for me to have a BT line and only use VMs line for incoming only
C: Their customer services and billing department leave a lot to be desired

If you want a load of grief and a load of bank charges sign up with them. They were s**t when they were Televest, now they are VM they are even worse

Take my advice and steer cleer of anything more than their broadband from them.

All telecoms companys suck when it comes down to customer support:

- Sky, don't have a clue whats going on
- Virgin, know whats going on but aren't at all helpful.
- Freeview, no customer support :P
- BT, very few english speakig people.
- AOL, suck anyway
- O2, far too expensive
- Orange, T-Mobile, Vodafone e.t.c. are like Virgin and Freeview combined

They all suck basically

Before you leave, call them - tell them your leaving and they will knock a fortune of your bills.
