Default How can I improve the quality of the signal at my receiver?

Hi there, just a quick question.... I live in Birmingham (United Kingdom) and I have recently bought a satellite dish and digital receiver (Technomate TM 1000 D) With the help of a friend of mine I have installed it... We set the dish on 13.0 E Hotbird to watch the Italian channels. The quality is normally about 63-66% and in good weather condition I can see the channels that I am interested in clearly and without any problem.
The problem is when the weather is bad (raining and cloudy).... the signal gets worse and I cannot see any of these channels....
Have you got any suggestion to improve the quality of the signal, especially with bad weather?
Thanks a lot
See ya

What size dish do you have? You really need a 60cm or bigger for consistant 100% Hotbird in the UK.

If you have a reasonable size dish then chances are the dish is marginally misaligned.
