If you watch the launch tomorrow night dont expect the Ariane to lift off at zero. The centre liquid motor fires at zero, but then has to check out correctly for a few seconds before the solid fuel boosters are lit up. The boosters fire at +7 seconds, and they provide the extra thrust to get her off the ground - then she flies

The Arianes are unusual in this respect in that they dont lift off at zero.
