Well, the Technisat Skystar2 BDA drivers V4.4.1 RC2 are here:
http://www.technisat.com/en/service/...=1515&pID=1281 but they don't do shit for me. I've unloaded/deleted and reloaded them maybe twenty times. The regular DVB drivers power the included DVB Viewer app. under Vista just fine, but as soon as the BDA drivers are installed, the SS2 is relocated from 'Network Adaptors' to 'Sound, video and game controllers'. Then, nothing can recognise the device, and everything dies on it's arse. I can get AltDVB to start maybe one in fifteen times as administrator, whereupon it reports the usual: Quote:
In other words, it sucks, and now it's outta here. My PC-based satellite will be running on XP only until this mess is sorted out. ![]()

Hello,
I am getting the message [ DvbAvSrc.ax ] whilst trying to run Sat4all (altdvb). I have read the posts on using regsvr32 and the regdrop tool but dont know what this is or how to do it. Can someone give me some idea how to do the registering. Many thanks Westie |

in the run window, type regsvr32 C:\????\dvbavsrc.ax
The ???? is the full location of the dvbavsrc.ax file Alternatively open the altdvb filters folder and double click the regsrv32.bat file. If the files are not in the correct place, you will have to use the first option.

Many thanks guys, worked a treat. I used the .bat file method. Now to learn to drive altdvb. Hope it works better than progdvb. The channels cleared on that ok but I had to close the prog down and reopen it with each channel change, otherwise the new channel wouldnt clear.
Thanks again Westie |
