Courtesy of the PayPal corporation, I will soon be buying a very hot setup... 8)
My brain tells me that 90East and West is the theoretical maximum, but I'm probably wrong :? I can't go much bigger than a 3 meter dish though...... :roflmao:

Even 90E and W is too far, because that would be just below the horizon. Much more than 45 degrees means that the signal is too weak, even with a larger dish. Obviously it all depends on your location. If you live on the top of Mt Everest then you have a bit more chance.

South east wales, about 10 meters above sea level...
Is there anything past 45 I might be able to pick up? Also, what size dish would I need for 45...

I can just manage to pick up 53E before the house gets in the way. Thats with a 1m dish.
58W is the farthest I can get the other way. If I remember correctly (and I probably don't ) none of the Sat's after 58W have any footprints over Europe - they all seemed to be American Sat's :?I await to be corrected Kev

I can usually get from 53e to 45w on a 90cm dish in the Midlands.
ATM its only really 30w i go upto as the neighbours tree is blocking the signal past about 35w. During the Winter when there is no leaves on the tree i can also get stuff past 35w ![]() Mind you its no loss really as theres bu99er all worth watching past 30W ![]() ![]() Nano

Ah and I've just noticed from my own signature that I must have been able to get 57E at some point :roflmao:
I'm unable to get anywhere near that ATM due to the scaffolding round the house so I can't double check it ![]() I'm either a lier or I've got a bloody bad memory ![]() Kev
