Default Sky signs deal for Sony Pictures

Sky and Sony Pictures have done a deal for the television and online rights to films including Spider-Man 3 and The Da Vinci Code.

This extends an existing rights agreement with Sony Pictures Television International, which will include the exclusive premiere of films on Sky Movies and further access on Sky's download service, Sky Anytime.

Sophie Turner-Laing, managing director for entertainment at Sky, said: "This is a further demonstration of Sky Movies' commitment to connect customers with the widest choice of films, HD and on-demand services through the TV and PC."
