firefox update versus java plugin
Mozilla wants to update to version 2.0.0.3 however it wants to disable JRE 6.0.01 until an update is available.
the Mozilla update is not particularly relevant to me and i want to keep JRE enabled, I have disabled Mozilla autoupdates for the moment. I cannot find any reason why the update wants to disable JRE on either website or when an update on JRE will be available. I have done the usual virus checking etc and dont think this is a spoof. :? anyone got any ideas/suggestions.  I will keep looking and if i find anything I will update accordingly

That's a load of crap. I have Firefox 2.0.0.3 and JRE 1.6.0_01 running right now on the machine I'm typing this on.
I take no responsibility of course, but I'd just install it.

 I think u r probably right but due to problems with VM BB this is the only PC i can log on with atm. hence my hesitance.

I probably loaded the latest Firefox release AFTER I updated the JRE, but I can't remember TBH.
