China is to launch the Nigcomsat satellite into space today on behalf of the Nigerian Space Agency. The launch is scheduled for 5.01 BST today. I think I may have read that the satellite will be positioned at 42.5e (though I'm not sure about that). Also, I hope someone (Analoguesat?

) may be able to come up with any details of a launch broadcast.

Its going up on a Chinese Long march rocket, so an outside chance of the launch being shown on CCTV9

And yes shes off to 42.5E

No chance of getting the Ku band coverage in the UK though....
