Come home today to find patched technomate 1600 ci with no read out on clock and would not power on at all.
I have managed to repatch it again with TPS AU as before , but the funny thing is everytime I now switch receiver to stand by it won't come on again and I have to keep repatching and so on .... ![]() It works fine with patch off and as some of you may recall from my post last week, channel change is also much quicker too I have kept patch off for time being as it's drivingme round the bend :'(Have 1000 and 1500 CI owners had same issues or is problem just confined to 1600 as there are a lot less about? What would happen to receiver if I patched it with TPS 1000 or 1500 ci TPS AU version from you know where ! ![]() |

No problems with my TM 1000 super
![]() Suggest you try re-installing the original TM firmware and then try to reinstall the patched firmware. If you did decide to patch it with either the TM1000 or 1500 firmware it may well bu99er it up, although as far as i can tell the only difference with the receivers is the card and cam slots so it may just cause them to malfunction :? If you are brave enough to try it let us know what happens ![]() ![]() Nano

I would never knowingly patch a receiver with the wrong patch - unless it was a proven trick that plenty of other people had tried!
I have a suspicion that there's something not quite right with either your box in particular, or the 1600 patch in general. Stick the standard firmware back on it and get rid of it. Replace it with something else.

Thanks for replies
![]() I have taken patch off altogether for now! To be honest it's never been really right from first download with slow remote control change and quite often hit and miss too with unscrambled channels. Pity really as I was especially enjoying French dialogue films having been a resident there in my youth :'( |

I find that it always pays to go with the mainstream when it comes to patched boxes. There are many more 1000 and 1500 models out there, so they get the most attentive support (though this is the first time I've heard of a problem with the 1600.)

You're spot on there stick
![]() Loads of people have now reported same bug and it's only confined to 1600 series! it seems the only way to get around problem of constantly repatching at present is to leave receiver ON all the time. :? |
