- Athina Sat: BBC Prime (United Kingdom) is now transmitted Free To Air (12574.00MHz, pol.H SR:16638 FEC:7/8 SID:4 PID:3544/3545 English).

It looked as if there was a possibility of Eurosport with English (which as far as I know is no longer available elsewhere) so gave it a go. On my TM all these channels come up as encrypted in 'Unknown'. Anyone any thoughts . . .. ? I've checked the PIDs and they seem to be correct.

Chances are it was a temporary hiccup somewhere. The free periods rarely last more than a few hours at a time. The Athina sat channels are dual encrypted in a new system called Griffin & good old Conax. It will be the Griffin the Technomate is puzzled by.

Such is the reach, power and influence of this forum that K1ing0fSat has already updated the news story! (it was posted today @ en.kingofsat.net/news.php). It now refers to the Griffin encryption (which is what comes up on Lyngsat) immediately above the original text. Got quite excited for a few moments there!
