rj, dont worry too much about the signal strength and quality readings you get from the receiver/ss2 card. The readings dont actually mean much and are only an indication. Two receivers connected to the same system will show quite varying readings. The important thing to go by is the quality if the picture and sound.

Yes, I was forgetting that the latest versions of ProgDVB have a 1.2 plugin built-in. Never used that feature myself - and I hate the way ProgDVB handles DiSEqC motor setup. I found it so illogical!

Maybe it's better in the recent versions. I've not updated mine in a while.

You certainly did well to sort it out from cold anyhow
