hi guys, a couple of questions, what is it? and is it worth doing? about a month now with the techno up and running, over the moon with it. many thanks to all on site for earlier greetings and help.

It's the process of using a small 'loader' application on the PC to overwrite the standard 'factory' firmware on the receiver with a version which has been modified to unlock payTV channels without actually paying.
Only you can decide if it's worth doing, but most folks would say yes ![]() The loader is custom written for the receiver (and is not the same as the 'factory' loader) as is the patch, and you will require a cable to connect PC and receiver. In your case this will be a 'null-modem' 9F to 9F cable. You must be sure to load the correct 'patch', or you can destroy your receiver.

Also be advised the compromised packages change from week to week, and only certain packages are ever available.
For instance, theres no way of gettiing free Sky UK using patches, but the following have been available recently Premiere Germany D+ Spain SRG Switzerland TPS France

I now have a nice long cable permantly connected from my pc to my TM1500,
I can now " softkey" it in about 20 seconds , much faster than it takes the mrs to make a cuppa ![]()
