Core 2 Duo, gig o ram, 250 gb hdd, dvd rw, 19" decent screen, k/b, mouse, vista basic, 12 months warranty. £CHEAP (£21 dearer than Lidl), and not from a supermarket!!

I am getting nowhere

Am just wondering whether it is really possible to build an identical spec machine for 175 quid or less, that's all.

It is if you can buy the bits cheap enough. Most retailers will be making a clear 100% profit, so they must cost way less than half that price to build if the builder is going to make a profit.

How many people can by @ trade?hmmmmmm i wonder.For the windows disk its not a bad by,& you dont have the messing about building.with 3 year manufacturer's warranty i dont see how you can go wrong.Thats my thoughts & no hassal.
