Default SL65/12 from Maplin

A friend of mine (the one who just bought MVision box ) has SL65/12 device he bought from Maplin some time ago. He is asking whether it is possible to open some Polish channels on it (on Hotbird). The receiver was purchased mid 2006. It got no name or model number on it whatsoever, but 'SL65/12' is printed on its carton box.
Any ideas on whether this one is patchable?

Dont think so Rookie - as far as Im aware its strictly fta only. Even if it is patchable the Polish channels arent available at the moment.

Thanks for it! I read topics in that section, but I came to conclusion that this particular model got different chipset and therefore isn't patchable.

Can confirm that it is perfectly patchable using an excellent guide by Yourk!

Glad it worked for you.

You should be able to open polsat atm (amongst others), with latest keys.

Sorry, I misspelt your nickname Shame on me....

Yes, Polsat is working fine. It didn't managed to open TPS though. I tried to compile BIN by using Weaksoft 1.8.0 from SL65 Toolbox but it didn't work. The file was loaded OK, without any issues, but then when I selected Keys Editor, the receiver just reset itself.

Then I just loaded file you recommended in your guide and edited keys manually. Now Disney channel on Polsat is open

Excellent.

Don't worry about the name , I've been called far worse.
