Hi everybody just got a DB500s today tuned it into fixed sky dish to get fta channels , new to this satelite stuff any info would be gratefully received ie, would I need some sort of card,what kind of motor so i can receive more satelites, what kind of LNB needed, anything else i need to get please keep the replies simple

Welcome Frank. Have a read around the beginners and help sections. There is a lot about the recommendations for motors, lnb etc.

Unless you want to get specific channels like Digitalb or Art, there is ne need for a card. Just enter the preferred softcams/keys and you will be away.

Lot's of fun to be had, so don't be shy...

Some folks find that the DM500 struggles to drive a DiSEqC motor properly, but others have no problems. A good 90cm dish and proper T&K mounts are a good place to start.

Lots to learn, so get stuck in!
