Turkey's largest pay-TV provider, Digiturk, is reportedly heading for a London flotation. According to The Times, the company has appointed banks to advise it on a flotation of 30% of Digiturk's equity, valuing the broadcaster at $1.5bn.
Last year Providence Equity Partners acquired a 47% stake in Digiturk, which began broadcasting in 1999. Digiturk has more than 1m subscribers and owns broadcasting rights to the Turkish Premier Super League. Last month the Disney Channel became the latest channel to join Digiturk's digital satellite platform.
