Default Force Humax hdci to point to a transponder

Hi

I've gotten a diablo cam, I need to get the auto updates running by going to france 4 or 5. I get it on 10872, however I have to get it on 10873 for it to get the auto update.............

I've cleared all my channels, reset to factory and scanned just 10873 - it finds france 5 - I save these channels and when I go back to them they're pointing to 10872! Does anyone have experience with a humax to force it to point to a transponder?

Dont worry about being 1 or 2 khz out. Modern receivers will easily tune a channel up to about 10 khz either side of a nominal frequency if the signal is strong.

The exact frequency a receiver sees depends on many factors - the exact frequency radiated by the satellite, the frequency conversion done by the lnb (if the lnb is getting tired it can wander off frequency slightly!). And finally of course the frequency conversions in the receiver

It seems very odd that you report the AU only works properly when you have the frequency set to 10873. I don't know of a way to force this. Are you sure this is the case?

No I'm not really sure this is the case, however I'm looking for answers whilst the cam doesn't update - and this was one of the suggestions that it needs to be smack bang on, but I'm inclined to believe the post before your - that it shouldn't make a difference.

So does it always update perfectly when it's manually set to 10873?

I don't think it makes any difference either. I think the tuner automatically fine-tunes to the maximum signal regardless, which is why you can't override it.

My Dreambox does exactly the same thing, and with SR's as well IIRC.
