Hi Everyone
![]() Is there any drop in quality between single LNB and monoblock? I presently have my my 80cms dish on single LNB pointing at Hotbird with a 79 to 82% signal quality. I am considering changing to monoblock Hotbird/ Astra 1 with an MTI Blueline going on Fleabay for about £23. What do you reckon Any feedback would be most welcome

A little less efficient, because the two feedhorns can't both be at the natural focal point of the dish.
Usually you'd go for the 'next dish size up' to compensate (if you were buying new) though your 80cm dish should do just fine in the UK. Go for it m8. The motorised thing's obviously not working out for you, so just dump it and go monobloc. It's a pretty cool setup. Good luck!

go for the monoblock
i wouldn't worry about signal levels as the satellites up at 19 and 13east are newer high power sats so you will get very good signal on them |
