Need Advice on DVD/VCR recorder

Should have explained that more clearly, I only record Digitally now using my dreambox and PC

The VHS is only used for playing my daughters tapes and if the wife has to record something for me if i get held up at work. If i need to record VHS to DVD i just go round my sisters house

I have asked some of the image people if the recording facility can be made operational whilst the VHS input is operating but no luck so far.

Interesting idea, although i suppose in theory it can be made to work if you know how to program linux

I've found this to be the single biggest disappointment with the Dreambox - that you can't record from the SCART input.
