Default Power consumption of USB receivers such as S2-3600, 452e or Skystar USB?

Folks,

I am working on a design study involving the use IP multicasting and DVB-S2 for distance education in the developing world. A big issue is power consumption... as every watt counts when you are powering them with solar panels for example... A difference of say 10W can make a difference in cost of solar panels on the order of hundreds of dollars...

I would like to find out the actual power consumption of any of the popular USB DVB and DVB-S2 receivers, such as the Technisat S2-3600, or the Pinnacle 452e, or the Skystar USB. (manufacturers generally give you specs and max ratings, I need the real number in this case)

If you have one of these, a Volt-Ohm meter, and are technically competent and want to do a very small altruistic thing.... Would you measure the actual ma consumed on the DC connector of your receiver. Be very careful not to short out your power supply or reverse it's polarity and don't do it if you feel you don't know how to place the probes from your VOM in series...I can't be responsible. (Its a little trickey unless you have a spare power connector handy, such as one of those tips from a multi-voltage adapter)

I would like to know:
1) ma consumed w/LNB attached
2) ma consumed wo/LNB attached
3) actual DC supply voltage
4) model of USB receiver you have
5) What model LNB you are using

Please post your measurements here.

Thanks much....

Thomas.
