Firstly you will need to download the 1000 series loader ( New Loader for TM-1000 Series 187) and latest 1000 series patch ( TPS Auto Update 11/05/07 ) from a l s a t
![]() When you go onto the page that contains the patch you will see 3 files listed which will be compressed with Winzip. You will need the one listed as Darkman_Patch_TM1600CI_030507.zip Instuctions on patching can be found Here You will also require a null modem c@ble as well to connect your receiver to your PC. Make sure you get the right patch or your receiver will be toast ![]() The patching procedure is the same for all of the 1000 series TMs, only the actual patch files are different. ![]() Nano

You should be aware that one of the guys here reported very slow channel changing on the 1600 after patching. Useable, but slow.

I've patched my1600 II recently and had no problems with "stability" or channel changing. The most recent patch was described as "now works with 1600" or something so maybe they've solved any such issues.
The patch will give you 3 main tv packages (maybe more): Premiere on Astra 1 on 19E D+ on Hotbird 13E Cabo on Hispasat 30 W However once you've got the patch... you then need to download the latest "softcam" file frequently. A softcam file is basically a file containing all the latest "keycodes" to unscramble the channels (alternatively you could input codes manually). The Premiere channel codes do not change very often apparently but the other packages change twice per day. A laptop in the lounge with wireless and constant connection to the receiver is my plan. |
