Does anyone have a SKY HD box running with a ftv card?
Does the card have to be matched to the HD box for ftv and does the box allow recording and playback of the ftv channels without a Sky sub?

Don't know for sure Jim, but I'm almost certain that the recording etc. works exactly like Sky+ - i.e. you need a subscription (to use the recording functions that is).
I was looking at them on eBay last week. Thought about buying one instead of a Sky+ box for when the £10/month surcharge disappears on July 1st, but they go for well over a ton.

If only DMM would get their fingers out and put the 8000 on the shelves, I would not even consider the Sky HD option.
