Default Now that's better!

In a fit of frustration on Sunday (scaffold pole blocking view of Polish speedway on 12.5w) I decided to ground mount my dish. I was planning on doing this, just not on Sunday

It's all a bit 'temporary' atm but a quick check confirmed that I can receive from at least 42E to 45W

Made a few wedges just to hold the pole in place for now

Also, bolted the patio mount down (will add flags later) using HKD anchors as per bottom photo. You can get a real good fixing with these, especially if you use the 'podger' in the photo and not a screwdriver/ other tool to knock them in with

That's sitting in the shed for now wod, this was just a quick set up so that I could catch the speedway Saved me having to line everything up and all that 8)

I'm actually going to look and see if their is anyway of modifying the inclined orbit actuator fitting so it doesn't foul the dish when moving west. Also need to change the pole as it's an aluminium pole 'borrowed' from the scaffold that surrounds the house

LOL - that's my first stipulation when I go into an estate agents - I want to be on top of a hill!

They think I'm mad, and they're not wrong.

I always wanted to live on a hill with a nice river at the bottom of the garden.

Yet to find it.
