Default Nice motorised transparent dish in Cheshire

Looks like the 85cm Metronic dish on a STAB motor with LNB and DiSEqC switch. Might look a bit expensive on the face of it, but the whole lot would cost nearly three times that new.

I like these dishes - they're really good where you want to minimise the visual impact of your kit.

I bet it doesn't sell

I wouldn't mind buying something like this item - I have had a solid grey dish for over 10 years and it is not looking at its best and needs replacing - to keep the neighbours and wife happy would this be ideal for good quality pictures off Satellites like Hispisat @ 30' based in the north west

Thanks

Metronic dishes i like,i think 85cm is as big as thay go?I would by one of these if only thay made a bigger, say a meter or 1.2 meter. If ever thay make this size dish thats clear, think i would be in the market for one.If ever i got another dish i need peoples eyes of it,as it would be at the front of my house.Metronic 85cm is to small for the east side of the clark belt here

I think the Metronic 85cm is a good general hobby dish. They work really well, and are worth the extra if you need a subtle look.

It would be great if they made a 1.2m, as Sid says - because it's the larger sizes that could really do with looking a little more discrete!

28.2E to 30W? Yes, this will be fine for all but the weakest of satellites, and I would highly recommend it.

It might not do some feeds on a few of the weaker satellites for example, but it will comfortably handle the large orbital positions just fine.

And you have no need to worry about sparklies These are a thing of the past with digital satellite

The bad news is that you get pixellation and total picture breakdown instead! 8)

The threshold for this is much better than analogue though, as those clever digital people have built in some automatic error correction. It would have to be raining exceptionally hard for you to lose signal on powerful satellites like 28.2E 19.2E 13E 5E 5W and 30W.

There are other choices of non-grey/non-metallic dishes slightly cheaper than the Metronic - such as the new Triax composite dishes for example - but these Metronics are very smart looking.
