Default Channel Four & Five

Hi

Does anyone know if it's possible to receive Channel Four & Five with a Skyline DSR4000 ?

No chance at all, well at least not in the near future anyway

They are free to view not free to air. You can only receive it if you have a sky receiver or an NDS capable CAM or Dreambox. You will also need a Sky viewing card although this does not need to have a paid subsciption

They are both currently encrypted in NDS, probably some deal to get it onto the Sky EPG or in order to get transponder space on Astra 2

I'm guessing that it will eventually become FTA when the Analogue switch off starts to happen

As far as we know the C4 encryption deal runs until mid 2008. As far as I remember C5 is mid 2009. However, at the moment C5 have no interest whatsoever in transmitting in the clear.

I'm defiantly not getting a 12 volt FTA box for the caravan then. Looks like I will have to splash out on a Pace 1000. Ebay here I come again :
