I think Jim's point about twin coax runs is an important one, and a format which is going to become the de facto standard before too long. A large component of this is surely Sky's move to push Sky+ (a twin tuner box) as the entry level system - effectively doing away with their single tuner digiboxes.

It's hardly any extra work to run two cables as opposed to one, so just leave one flapping about under the carpet for future use.

You can use high quality CT100 satellite c@ble for terrestrial too, so there's your excuse.

Satellite is definitely better though

More choice, and no reception problems.

Terrestrial utilises an aerial, whilst satellite obviously uses a dish, and you can't mix the two. The channel lineups on digital terrestrial and digital satellite are slightly different, so this might be a good place to start your investigation/comparison as to which will best serve your needs.

THanks BG.....I've actually replaced the aerial and cable with great results...reception fantastic....Now I'm busy reading all I can on the satellite forums.....I've been around the garden with my compass and protractor angles on a big card (sad isn't it ) trying to find out the best place to put a dish or dishes!! Can't decide whether to have 2 fixed or one motorised dish.....I keep changing my mind every day

Glad your terrestrial bit's sorted anyway.
