So i will stick with my cheapy pace.As now it is more stable with latest software update and sees more cams.

I wanted a receiver with a hard drive so its good for me.As for price it would cost more due to it has twin tuners init lol.on this (As now it is more stable with latest software update and sees more cams)how can your pace receiver see more cams?if a receiver has ci slots thay must work.have you had troubel with your ci slots in the past then?

CI =cam slot wehich of course you put cams inThe pace wil see diablo cam ok but others like dragon were not seen.Now it sees dragon or t-rex so it sees more cams.With latest software upgrade.

From my receiver all the cams iv used have worked fine.As for diablo cam i dont know as iv not got one.I know where to ask about this,i will come back on this @ a later date.

As most stbs are sold as free to air they don`t allow for cams with built in emus.So this makes some cams malfunction.I think there is a euro cam that is seen in most hd stbs which has no problem working and has a card for hd channels till 2010 But is very expensive to buy.The Diablo is very advanced and can emulate most types of encryptions so is an ideal cam for hd stbs.(in my opinion)

Dragon & T-Rex cams now working , yes you now have access to the Menu screens

I had the chance to use the new fortec star today and WOW it blows the pace ds810xe and humax hdci2000 away the passions is a real DXers receiver i now have one on order

how many cam/ card slots , does it have blind scan ? any chance of decode 4:2:2 transmissions ?

I started this thread as the above might be a poss here,if i was to by one.I want more reports first,when i know 100% what this receiver can do.hmmmmm then who knows,i might shell out a few bob.

I have been reading about the fortec passion.At the moment its only north american model that does blindscan and 4.22.But with software updates it may be possible on other models.
I have attched a passion manual if anyone wants to read.
