I downloaded that beta driver too and if you didnt uninstall the original first you end up with 2 versions of dvb viewer. My card is still listed under network adapters (XP), and both versions work ok although not at the same time..

Well after a lot of playing around with software drivers including downloading the pro version of DVBviewer. I found in the pro version it had options for Mpeg2 players. I had left this at system default, on changing to microsoft for all versions. I was able to scan and find channels using my skyDigi dish.
Played around with the pro version and lost the channels. Did a system restore and loaded the original Vista version now have pci card shown in network controllers and video devices. Now the fastsatfinder software works as well. Eventually managed to set up 80cm dish on Astra2/Eurobird1 but only getting the Eurobird transponders. Rain has now stopped play, but did loose sky on main TV due to storm but the SS2 was fine. This is strange as the FastsatFinder reports a lower signal on the 80cm dish. So it looks as if its down to dish alignment now but only have 20 minutes left on the FastsatFinder trail program. |
