Default Pulling in elusive channels on a new motorised setup

Hi, hope you guys can help with this problem.
I setup a ground pole motorised dish recently, followed the useful advice here and on other forums.
I managed to get the dish lined up to thor 1.0W (Gospel Channel etc coming through).
Once I had that setup I used USALS (setting long and lat first) to move to 19E, 13E and 30W. Channels coming through 70-80% quality.
However, I have noticed that some of the Premiere channels on 19E (e.g prem 1,2,3,4), and probably some on other satellites, are not coming through.
I dont understand why, because I seem to be tracking the satellite 'arc'.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

My Setup:
1.1m dish 0.2lnb
TM1500+
Latest Patch
Foretech star motor

When you say 'not coming through' doe you mean no signal indicated at all or just no picture but the signal is there??.

Sorry for being vague. I meant that the signal strength is low, flickering between 20% and 40%.

Welcome to the forum spider.

Are you getting all of the channels ok on Thor?

If so, is your mounting pole absolutely vertical front/back and side to side? If it is just slightly out you might get a poor signal on some channels. The signal of 20-40% means no signal and is just background noise. Providers do change frequencies occasionally and you may need to update your transponder lists.

If all is correct, it may be that you need to tweak the elevation slightly.

When you scan the channels on 19.2E are you sure you have selected the correct transponder list?

hi Jim

I think I have selected the right transponder (not entirely sure what a transponder is though ops, because I use the TM1500+ built in SAT list, and simply select Astra 19E. All Taquilla channels work, but some channels on Prem dont.

Hi spider,

As transponders are constantly changing, your pre-installed info will not be right up to date. I would delete channels/transponders on 19.2E and do a blind scan.

Regards,
Yorks.

Hi spider88948
It maybe the skew.If you loosen lnb in the holder try turning slightly left or right.Or it maybe just a tree branch in the line of sight which is causing flutuation in signal.

OK, sounds a bit drastic deleting my satellite list, but I guess it makes sense.

What I dont understand is I have another fixed dish pointed at 19E, and when I connect the same TM1500 to it prem channels work. This makes me think jim's idea that the pole or dish being slightly misaligned could be true.

thanks Albert going to have a look at the skew of the lnb as soon as I get home.

Ok. If the premiere channels come in on a different dish then the receiver is not the problem.

Hi everyone.

I managed to check my dish today and it seems as though the pole is still near enough straight. However, it has moved a very small amount. This is probably one of my problems. However, I decided to do a blind scan on my receiver as was recommended by others, and surprisingly some prem channels I couldn't get before started appearing.
