what is the best

new Actuator
or
new HH motor

if the dish has a polar mount then replace the actuator motor or go for something like a jaeger smr 99 36volt h2h motor or even the jaeger 1224 motor if you can get the adapter plate to fit

With the present trend of greater winds, I would just replace the faulty 18" actuator. It is much more robust.

I say the same as jim here on winds,myself i would go for a thicker jack.I dont rate the thin ones.

Yes, I'm with the others - just get a new heavy duty 18" actuator assuming that a longer one won't give you any advantage in travel across the arc.
