A new kid on the Technomate 9100 block. but certainly not newbie (as DM guys can confirm) came with their latest firmware for TM9100 and TM9101 (TM9100 super):

Darez and Stan are good. Dont have a Technomate but this should be worth trying.

As a matter of interest, does the Technomate have a multiboot option?

Yes, with i-Boot. I guees this is similar to uBoot.
