Time to take the plunge and get another dish, (much to the wifes disbelief). Found this: 'Order Code OPT10MU' here: _http://www.satellitesuperstore.com/multisat.htm . Any good or should I be looking elsewhere? Price is about right for what I want to spend.. Will I get any sport from the satellites this ad mentions? Still just using skystar card for now but will eventually get a receiver.. Thought I saw a satellite place in Camberley mentioned somewhere too. Can't remember their name but they are just down the road from me. Anyone know who I'm talking about? Thanks in advance for any advice fellas..

It's a nice setup, but most stuff they sell is overpriced. I have that setup and it cost me:
Triax TD110 Dish £50 (Parabolic.co.uk), free P&P (now £60, so shop around) Triax Multi-LNB arm (from Satellite Superstore) £21.45 including P&P 3 x decent Inverto LNBs £10 each (so let's say £40 for four...) (Heathrow Systems), free P&P 4 x 1 DiSEqC switch £8 (eBay), including P&P. Compared to SS @ £159.90 incl, it cost me £119.45 incl. I would tend to go for a 90cm and motor - can be done for less than £150, will give you many more options, and will look a hell of a lot smaller than the TD110 if you're trying to stay on the right side of SWMBO. Compare the visual impact of my two setups here My motorised TD88 is driven by a Skystar 2 even now.

Nice pics
Quite fancy a motorised dish but that involves more electric outdoors What with swmbo's pond fetish, (filters, fountains, lights etc), we are running out of sockets I don't mind paying a bit extra just for the fact that all the kit comes from one place, in one go. Not in too much so if have loads of bits coming from loads of places you can guarantee I'll miss the courier. Will shop around cause I hate paying too much for stuff but if it's not a massive difference I might just get that. Might check out the place in Camberley I mentioned too.Now if I got a 2m transparent dish, dug a hole where the pond is... Do you think goldfish would affect the signal :roflmao:

A motorised dish does not need an extra socket. The H-H motors are powered from the receiver via the LNB cable.

Err. Having just been searching around I now realise that
ops: Have however found a Triax TD110 for £54. Dunno about postage tho as it is not the best site.. Do I really need a dish that big? Location is nr Reading, Berks.I currently have a quad lnb on my standard sky dish which feeds 2 digiboxes and my pc via a skystar. If I do buy another dish with a motor will the skystar provide the power to move it or will I need some extra gadgetry?

what satellites do you want to receive as a 90cm could be all that you need as the main 3 28, 19, 13 can be picked up on 80cm dish, where as if you want to receiver 16east for digitalb to get the football next season then a 1metre dish is best as the signal is not great on that satellite
no the pc satellite card will work fine with a dish motor also keep the sky setup alone from the other dish setup |

Thanks. Looks like I'll be going down the TD110 motorised route. Anyone recommend a good motor as I have read bad things about the diseqc ones and wind..

You can get a proper Triax polar mount for that dish. Then you'll just need an actuator jack, motor cable and VBOX to control it all.
