I have got my skystar2 up and running on windows vista with the standard technisats viewer, The problem i have is all the other viewers i try do not seem to work what am i doing wrong can someone tell me what viewers work with vista and what other files/software/emus i need to get the SS2 up and running on vista or is there a online guide to it?

If you have the SS2 vista driver installed, then you need to right click on the viewer icon and select 'run as administrator'

This works with Altdvb and Progdvb.

All i get is no bda installed?.

Try dvbdream this searches and installs correct bda drivers.

I had the same trouble. Vista insisted on installing the wrong drivers. You need to download the latest driver from Technisat which is said to be Vista compatible. You must also uninstall all existing SS2 drivers and make sure they are deleted from your pc otherwise Vista installs them again as soon as you boot. Vista then tells you the drivers dont work.

Yes i have dvbdream and my theatre working now, any ideas what is the best emu for dvb dream and how do i update the transponders. Cheers

Yep cheers got vplug working now on dvbdream i have also got my theatre installed now aswell, But i gould not get progdvb or altdvb to run,
