I actually still have my two-year old Olympus C350. It is the first and only digital camera I ever had and so far no problems are met, except when the AA batteries I use falter in performance. Given the budget, I would have probably bought a Sony, though.

overall Nikon for me but
I started off with a konica-minolta z1- great zoom but rotten indoors, then got a nikon D50- great all rounder but can't take to the pub so now also have a kodak c875 compact witht the lowest shutter time lag I could find all the bases covered will the madness never end

I have to say I'm over the moon with my Nikon D80 SLR but it's obviously too big for quick snaps at the pub.
Saying that, for such low quality shots my Nokia N95 mobile phone does the trick with it's 5 mega pixel camera. |

I'm using the Canon EOS 20D which I bought from the US (great deal at the time). Before going digital, I used to have a Minolta SLR.
Be sure to tell us what you eventually purchase.... |

I personally have a Canon eos 30 with an array of lenses obviously in the higher price band but every penny was worth it they are superb cameras i would recomend the eos range any day!!
