I am trying to create a working setup for streaming live TV from TM9100 to DSM-320 (this is standalone network media player; requires UPnP AV server).
There is no problem whatsoever to stream recorded files (from TM9100 HDD) to DSM via Twonkyvision UPnP AV server. If you need this, then download and install it from their website. You'll need version for Dreambox 7020. Now, the problem is live TV. Since there is no built-in UPnP AV server in TM9100, which can allow such streaming, I decided to go VLC route. Here is the sequence: 1. Go to TM9100 web interface and click VLC button. 2. Save video.m3u file to disk and open it in any text editor/viewer. 3. Copy stream parameter (my one looks like this : h**p://192.168.100.165:31339/0,0407,00a7,006c 4. Open VLC 5. File->Open Network Stream 6. Click on HTTP/HTTPS/... 7. Paste stream parameters there and click OK. Now you should see picture. 8. Go back to File->Open Network Stream and select Stream/Save. 9. Click on Settings. 10. Click on MMSH 11. Type there 127.0.0.1 12. Select port. I am using 7000. For some reason, my UPnP AV server (TVersity) hates any other stream than MPEG TS (or PS) encapsulated and encoded to Div3. 13. Select MPEG TS 14. Select Transcoding Video. Codec DIV3, Bitrate - up to you. I am using 3072. 15. Select Transcoding Audio. Codec mp3, Bitrate - up to you. I am using 192. 16. OK. OK 17. To test stream, start Windows Media Player. Open URL and type there mms://127.0.0.1:7000. You should see stream from TM9100 in Media Player now. Now start TVersity. Click on + and choose Add Podcast...->Video podcast... Then type mms://127.0.0.1:7000, the rest of parameters is unimportant. Save it and update library. Now you should be able to receive the stream on your UPnP AV player. You might need to transcode it according to your player needs. My only problem is audio - I can't get it to work! Can someone try this method (or maybe some other) and report his/her findings? |
