Hello,
Please can you recommend to me a new receiver. I currently have a motorised dish with Stab motor, and would like to have a receiver that is compatable with it. I think it is steered by something like 'Disq' ?. My budget is around £150. My current receiver is a force 1122s and this has broken down. Many Thanks. |

well you motor will be compatible if its using diseqc1.2/USALS
in your budget of £150 what features would you like ? card slots, cam slots, patch ability, blind search etc ? two receivers i would say look at is the Vantage VT-X221S CI or technomate tm1500ci mainly the vantage as it can store 10,000 channels, very good tuner, excellent blind search

Thanks very much Wod,
The Vantage looks good. I only usually watch free to air but, it may be a good time to get a slot. Incidentally, what is 'patchability' please? Thanks and regards. |

A patch is generally a piece of unofficial software, designed for specific receivers, that will allow you to view more channels.
It is important that you only load patches that are designed specifically for your receiver. For more information on the various receivers look in the receiver section, please post any questions you might have and other owners will help you out. |
