Default Aldi satellite

First post advice needed.

Bought portable aldi system.

New to setting up.

Have set up onto Astra 28E with 71% signal quality.

At present i have not got a compass or signal finder.

If I want to move to Hotbird 13.0E

As i move further east to 13 deg do i leave the tilt on dish and skew of lnb as set for Astra.

With this system am i likely to pick up any other satellites as i move from Astra to hotbird.

Thanks in advance

Slightly up a bit and not so much skew as you go further west.

Yes you should get, Astra 1 at 19 east and (maybe) Eutelsat W2 at 16 east but this is a tricky one.
You should find 13 east no probs.

Hi SatSteve,

I bought one of these recently, and have so far pulled in channels from 42e,28e,19e,13e,1w,30w. There may be others - I think some transponders on 5w are quite strong (someone will correct me if I'm wrong ).
I will be able to give it a proper go in August when we go to the in-laws caravan - providing I have a clear line of sight.

But all in all not a bad little toy for 50 quid.

Regards,

Yorks

You will be able to get 5W with no problem at all with that setup mate
