Default Hotbird TP

I have a question about 2 transponders on hotbird 6 and 7a

Hotbird 6, TP 126 11034V

Shows a very good signal but when scanned no channels show.

Hotbird 7a, TP 10796V

Shows a very good signal but when scanned no channels show.

both are showing channels on the LyngSat site, both operated by TPS.

Any idea,s :?

Are you definitely using an SR of 27500 and FEC of 3/4?

Refresh rate is 27500 but I don't have anything like FEC listed in the tuning menu :?

only other options listed are V-pid and A-pid.

Its a metronic touch box 3.

It's going to be nigh-on impossible for me to diagnose this one for you. Missing TPs are sometimes due to frequency-specific interference, but other than that all I can really say is that it's definitely a problem at your end!

Swapping out dishes, LNBs and receivers etc. until you get the channels back is the only way to narrow this down I think.

If you can't receive them with any combination of kit, then it's almost certainly local conditions - i.e. interference.

This can often turn out to be something really weird. Check for adjacent cables - especially those carrying power - poorly shielded coax (sorry!) or local transmitters of some sort. High-power masts can cause some horrible harmonics which in turn can hit satellite IF frequencies.

Strange thing is signal quality is showing 70% on those TP's just wont detect any channels :?

You may need to delete the TP and re-enter it and rescan. If the V pid has changed then you will only get a blank picture until the information is updated.

Try altering the frequency slightly and then scan.
11040 V and 10800 V.

If all the above fails, then try adding the Video and Audio pids manually.
