Default Irdeto 2

Hello everyone,

I have Hotbird 13 at home, I wanted to receive Zee network channels,B4U Movies,ARY Degital, and Aljazeera +1 & +2. I've been told that I can recieve all these channels with Irdeto2, is this a card or cam? I have Echostar reciever that has a place to insert a card, will Irdeto 2 work with that? where can I find this card and how much is the price.

thank you

Hi :welc1:

Irdeto 2 is an encryption type, and covers several providers - so you would need a subscription card for each of them. I suspect that with the receiver you have, you would also need an Irdeto CAM - assuming the receiver has a PCMCIA-style CI slot as well as a card-reader slot. I don't know - I haven't checked if it does or not.

What's the model number of your Echostar?

I think you might be looking at a change of receiver...

Do you have a manual for it? Does it mention built-in support for any encryption types?
