if you are going over the £100 mark then why not go for a tm9100

a linux based box for £109 delivered is good in my book and if/when support goes you still have a neworked

box linux box

You can get the Vantage boxes without Freeview (Vantage X211S) from Germany for €99 (HM-Sat.de), or you can get the Vantage VT-X221TS CI from our sponsor SatScan for £139.95 - and you get an extra 10% off by using the sathelp member discount option at checkout.

I'm not sure that the FTA version of the Vantage enjoys the same support as the popular Freeview version, so I would avoid that one personally. Even if the patch is available, it's best to follow the crowd IMO.

There's no touching the TM-1000D where low-cost and support are the main factors though.

Linux boxes are a different proposition, but I love the TM9100 all the while it's £109.
