Funny you should say that, I have just done it.

I had been fetching the cable and feedhorn/lnb inside during the night whilst I had been setting it up.

Couldn't you move it into the center of the garden away from the bushes?

If you get a better signal then you know its the bushes causing you problems.

Yes that is what I was thinking and its really the only other place I could move it to. The only problem is, that tree to the left will maybe block 7W, as the dish will be placed nearer and in front of it, as illustrated in the pic.

Have you peaked the dish left and right and up and down? , Also that bush looks like it could be in the way, Also not being nasty but i would forget about the 2.4m fortec star as you struggled with a 1.8m andrews you would have no chance with a 2.4m prime focus petal dish where the petals need to be lined up and a adjustable feedhorn is needed,

Still can only get 85%ish on the Verts and about 72% on the H's with high BER Rate. I have booked my usual reliable installer to come out and take a look to verify what I have done and see what the problem is, maybe the trees? But at least I will know for sure then and if he tells me I need a bigger dish, then I will have to have a re-think. A 2.4m would not be a problem if I can find one at the right price if thats whats needed.

He isn't coming out until Fri 7th Sept due to hols.

But its not just about tuning it in, it is also getting some expertise to tell me what is wrong and what I can do to get it right. Well worth the £35 call out charge.
