You still need to get the signal. There are plenty of footy channels out there without Showtime.

Be very carefull with the surface of the antenna, i did a mistake once on a Channel master dish in using car polish, the gelcoat is so thin you easily go thru the plastic to the reflective coat underneath.

My suggestion would be to just wash it with some boat cleaner for plastics and apply some thin boat wax.
