Default Black screen

Wee bit of a problem with the Skystar and Altdvb. All I can get is a black screen, whatever I try to watch. However, if I record through it I can then watch it no problem :? Any ideas, am I doing something stupid again?

And this after I'd got it set up and working fine on 4:2.2 feeds > :

Any help appreciated

Kev

I'm guessing you've fiddled with something to get it to do 4:2:2?

Take a backup of the whole AltDVB directory so that you can always run it with 4:2:2 feeds (maybe call the folder AltDVB422?) and then backout any changes you've made in the standard directory. It should run OK from both folders, so you can use either/or.

May not work, but it does for some apps. Your problem is probably to do with filters and graphs.

Cheers Stick

Downloaded another version of the Elecard decoder as the old versions evaluation period had expired. Seems like I was expected to pay £15 or so to continue using it No idea how long this one will last but we'll see

Ahh.

I nicked a free version out of an older release of ProgDVB and transferred that across myself. It's probably not as good as the newer versions though.

You could write what I know about this on the back of a fag packet ops:

When I have used altdvb in the past a black screen is usually down to the graphs and filters section but I prefer the newer versions of Probdvb. Up to version 5 these days I think.
