Now that I'm getting the system set up almost as I like it, I wondered what most members do with the 1000's of scrambled channels that, in my opinion, just clutter up the clear ones.
There are options on the Echostar 3600 to select only FTA or Scrambled (as well as othe options) but in doing so. FTA also includes some scrambled channels and vice versa. On Sats with only 30-40 channels I have been moving the scrambled channels to the end of the list but this is a tiresome task and almost qualifies for Repetitive Strain Injury So I was considering deleting them, but got around to asking what others do; please share your opinion if you have one.

Apart from deleting some NDS channels I've not done much regarding my channel list
ops:The plan is to stick a load in my favourites and delete a lot of the crap. But I can never be bothered so just end up navigating my way through all the junk ![]() Kev

I used to spend hours organizing, but now I blind scan the sat, stick the ones I want on my favourites and more or less leave the rest as they loaded - in transponder order.

I leave them there for two reasons:
1) I live in hope that someone will crack them open ![]() 2) Every time I rescan a satellite they re-appear!

Ditto
. That's my excuse for not deleting the porn channels. I just lock 'em and set 'em to skip. I have been quoted as saying, "They will only reappear when I do a rescan" - honest! (My daughter uses her favourites list for her stuff)

![]() Thanks for the comments guys, it's interesting to know what others do, or how we kinda think alike. 8) ![]() For now I'll keep moving them along to the end of the listing. But still a little unsure. :? Any other comments gratefully received

It's such a pain in the bum editing lists on the receiver itself, so I would only ever contemplate rearranging stuff if it was done on the PC via a proper channel-editing package, and where you can keep several different versions and backups.
With most data-storage devices, you spend ages keying it all in and then there's a power cut or your batteries run out and it's all lost. I used to be a slave to these sorts of fanatical reordering and updating behaviors but thankfully I can now mentally cope with the 'mess'. Must be my wife's influence, messy cow... :roflmao:
