Hi pico

No, I don't think it's that easy either!

I assume you're in the UK?

The Thaicom satellites are below the horizon in the UK, so no way to receive them. Maybe there are Thai channels on satellites you can see - hopefully the other members here will know of something.

The Sky digibox is pretty hopeless anyway. If there was something available in the UK you would be better off getting a different receiver. The Sky box can only physically receive some of the many channels available, as it has been 'crippled' by Sky.

[edit] Ah, I see BlackHawk has found you something

An FTA receiver like the Technomate TM-1000D would do you in that case, but you'll either need an additional dish or a larger dish than the one you have & fitted with two LNBs

Yep, the Hotbird option is about the only thing viable. The link below lists free Thai TV available on Satellite and it seems most of them will be difficult if not impossible to receive in the UK. None of the is listed as being on 'Sky' i.e. 28E.

I would say yes it is, there are many websites with links to Thai tv, have a look at the link below as an example.

There are no Thai TV channels available on Sky. There are 2 on Hotbird, and a radio channel

Thai Global (once described to me as being quivalent to Channel 5 in quality!)
Dhamma (religious)
Bankok 95FM

Thats it in Europe - you will need to go for a slingbox or webstreaming.

That's going some, that sat would be more or less on the horizon up in the Cotswolds.
