Default Fitting a new diseqc switch thingy

Hi Guys.

Should I -

1) Have the diseqc settings on the receiver 'disabled', switch off, fit switch, then switch on & allocate each lnb?

Or 2) just fit it & let it unscramble the existing receiver settings? (ie Hotbird lnb 4 , astra 1 lnb 1, astra 2 lnb2 ...etc)

Or 3) It doesn't matter?

& this time I will remember to unplug the receiver...WONT I_!!!! >

Hi Loathecliff,

I would go for option 1. Fit your cables to switch and receiver, power on, then set up DiSEqC settings on receiver.

Regards,

Yorks

Thxs Yorks

I did it your way (cue Frank).

A baby Chieta even works properly with three different LNBs

Cost under £3.50 delivered from a fleabay USA supplier; some of the UK guys seem to be on the wrong planet cost/P&P wise!
