Default Latest dish

Well I have fitted my latest dish. I know when the LNB is fitted it is going to shadow the hotbird dish but it is just temporary at the moment.

I was hoping to get 30w but as you can see from the second photo I think the corner of the house is going to block it

15w looks interesting, bu I think I need a bigger dish for that, and the roof might still get in the way

I think you might be lucky with 30W - it might be high enough in the sky that the house/roof isn't in the way after all. Give it a go!

I will give it a go. Will have to get a cranked mast if I can pick it up.

What size dish is needed for 15w.

Not sure what the min. size would be for you. My 90 pulls it all in OK.

Well its Bad news/Good news/Bad news

Couldn't get 30w with the min dish.

But I could get it with that crappy lidl dish

Managed to use the Fortec Star mount I had too

Signal quality is comming in at 62-72% apart from Tp 12522v & 12547v thats at 50%

BUT the following Tp's have no signal

11474h
11535v 23%
11577v
11615h 28%
11682v
11676h
11933v
12094h
12719v

First thing I'm going to do is move the hotbird dish to See if that makes any difference. If not ant idea's :?

I have had a bit of a move about. 2' to the left , 1' back and repositioned the hotbird dish.

It has improved things a bit on 30w, and I have even managed to get a few feeds but I am still missing some TP off the lying sat list :?

11474h
11535v
11615h
11676h
11682v
12094h
12719v

Dose any one know why

My results:

11474h - Nothing here
11535v - Nothing here
11615h - Plenty of stuff on 11616H 27500, but very low signal (10% indicated on SS2)
11676h - Nothing here
11682v - Mana Sat 1 and Mana Sat 2 here, but very low signal (10% indicated on SS2)
12094h - Nothing here
12719v - Nothing here

My 90cm dish is slightly mal-aligned on Hispasat, so I could increase these figures considerably, but I think this explains your results perfectly. You're not going to get them on that dish.

STICK

thanks

as long as its not just me then.

I am trying to persuade the wife that one 95cm dish would look better on the roof than the present collection :spite:

Just need a spare £200 for dish, motor, mount and 1000D receiver

I have been watching VH1 on 30w for most of the day but the signal is starting to slowly get worse, gone from 42% to 36%
