Default Streaming to Xbox (XBMC) works!

In short, if you have an old Xbox (not the 360 one), it can be used with TM9100. That means you can zap channels, select bouquets and stream video to XBMC.

I tried it and it works sort of well - if you zap channels a lot there is risk that TM9100 will stop streaming at all. In this case you'll need to restart TM9100.

To get it working you need first-gen Xbox soft- or hardmodded with XBMC on it. There is no support for Tuxbox in 2.01 Stable release, so don't even bother. You need to either compile it yourself or to get latest compiled image from SVN. Normally these are made by T3CH so Google is your friend.

Copy your sources.xml file so that it won't be destroyed Just in case, you know.

Once you got XBMC installed on your Xbox, go to Video and add a new source. Select Tuxbox and type in details of your TM9100. Then it should connect to TM9100 and present you with a list of bouquets.
I just selected my favourite bouquet and then it was added to video sources list.

The next step is to merge your sources.xml and the one created by XBMC. It is fairly easy task - anyone can do it. Now copy edited sources.xml back to
Xbox, restart XBMC and now you can start watching channels from TM9100 on Xbox.

As I said previously, do not expect it to work 100%. Some channels are not working at all (there is no pattern, which ones are working and ones that doesn't). According to XBMC guys it happens due to errors in data sent to XBMC by Tuxbox (in this case TM9100). Problematic channels are sent without proper description, so when XBMC is trying to select this channel, TM9100 doesn't really understand the request and refuses to do anything.

Anyway, try it Just remember this is still in Beta stage...
