Default Spanish channels

Hi everyone, as you will guess from this i am very new to all this.
I am considering buying the Technomate 1500 super and either, an 80cm or 1m motorised dish.
However i am somewhat confused, my other half is Spanish and loves watching Telecinco, Antenna3 etc when she is back home. which are free national channels, but when i look these up on the net, I see that they are listed as encrypted by powervu. can anyone explain if i can get these and how, also will the above kit do the job. hope you can help.

Default Re: Spanish channels

Antena 3 30W Hispasat is indeed broadcast encrypted in PowerVu, and isn't viewable without subscription.

Just because it's free on terrestrial doesn't mean that its FTA on satellite I'm afraid

There is plenty of FTA Spanish TV available, and Digital + is also open these days on very modest hardware (including the Technomate TM1500) when keys are available - which is true more often than not ATM.

Welcome to the forum!
