I have the same receiver and until the recent code chnage by Premier you could access sports channels you require. However I've been unable to get it to work since the latest chnage in encryption codes.

For future reference, to update the keys manually you enter the main menu and type '1117'. This should get you into the hidden menu for maintaining encryption keys. You then select the encryption type (e.g. Nagravsion). This gives you access to the package providers key sets. Select the one you want and hit the edit button. You now have access to edit the keys themselves. Unfortunately it's a bit tedious from here on because you have to scroll through each hex character before until you get the one want. Once your done exit and save the new key. The channels should now decode. It doesn't work with all packages, but I have had access to Premier and D+ this way, though Premier is off at the moment.

I hope this helps.

Cheers, Roman

Hi Roman,

I was wondering if you could tell me something because I am new to all of this...

Someone is gonna come and install a motorised satellite system for me and they said they will give me a Phoenix Apollo CI box which has been patched. Does this mean that I would have to go through the same method of entering '1117' at the main menu and editing the keys?

Also, could you tell me what other packages you have got working on the Phoenix Apollo? eg: Do the keys work for DigitAlb and ViaSat? and how many times on average do the keys need changing?

Thanks a lot for your help. I'm looking forward to having the system installed!

Yes, you'll have to do the same or re-patch/load a softcam.

DigitAlb and ViaSat? No, neither I'm afraid.

Good luck with your install!

The Phoenix Apollo is a nice box.

I've had a quick look and it seems that Premier (19E) and DigiTV (1W) are open on the Phoenix Apollo. Don't be surprised if Digital + (19E), Polsat (13E) and TVCabo (30W) are also in the clear

I have a Polsat key and I want to enter it into my patched Phoenix Apollo.

My box shows 6 hex digits under 'id', then it has two digits under 'index' and then it shows about 5 or so rows for me to enter 16 hex digits per line.

But all I have from the key is key 00 and then a 32 digit hex key. Does this mean it needs to go on two different lines? and whats supposed to go into the 6 hex digits under 'id'?

thanks!

The Provider ID for Polsat (which is 7101) I guess.

Or try 00 for line 1 and 01 for line 2.
